The state-owned enterprise Horské lázně Karlova Studánka is a historic spa resort whose origins date back to the 16th century. Thanks to its unique location and healing climate, Karlova Studánka is an ideal place for spa treatment of patients with cancer and diseases of the circulatory, respiratory, nervous, and musculoskeletal systems.
Thanks to the Principal Telemedicine solution, the spa is the first in the Czech Republic to offer its clients care supported by innovative telemedicine services.
Client needs
The spa management was considering a broader renewal of its digital resources for managing spa operations. It was necessary to increase the efficiency and economic performance of the business, introduce timely and high-quality reporting, and establish connections with the state administration and other healthcare providers within the framework of domestic or international interoperability.
The spa was looking for innovative digital tools that would support the improvement and enhancement of the level of medical care and patient comfort, such as telemedicine or a mobile application.

Client testimonial
"I am very pleased with the good reputation of our spa in terms of the quality of services provided, prices, and the comfort of our clients. We value the trust of our guests, which is why our goal is to continuously improve and enhance the care and services we provide. We keep this in mind when developing and improving the performance of our technological systems, which ensure the daily operation of our spa. And even though spa treatment is a very traditional field, we strongly feel the need to use innovative digital tools to further develop our spa care. That is why we have added the use of telemedicine and its connection to the spa information system to our list of firsts," said Jan Poštulka, Director of the Karlova Studánka Mountain Spa.
